what do you mean? as far as i know, the furnace should not be open when it is working, it is totally sealed. But on your case, I don't follow your point. ;D

Hi, currently i was working on growing the carbon nanotube on silicon wafer in high temp, around 800 degree C. but there is one issue bothering my job, every time when i open the high temperature furnace, two different conditions of air (inside the furnace and outside the furnace of cleanroom) are mixed together and then trigger the poisoning of silicon wafer and CNT, so i am trying to figure out which kind of air filter i should use to separate them and get around this issue.

    any thoughts? appreciate that…

I dont think the air filter will resolve this issue.  We should consider using an inert gas to protect the product during cool down.

what kind of cooling inert gas do you use, Argon?

I think the furnace should not be open when it is working because of difference air conditions.
