I am a MBA student at San Diego State University and am working on a project in Technology Commercialization where we conduct a market feasibility analysis of an innovative technology.

My team is working on a new software tool kit that would create quantifiable models to predict airborne particulate concentrations in laboratory or clean room facilities as a function of several variables, with intention of reducing the HVAC power consumption for air changes / hour while maintaining the required ISO cleanliness standards.

We are having difficulty in finding the exact figures for the number of clean rooms in the country or more specifically California. What we are basically looking for is the dollar figure that has been or is being spent on clean room design, construction, maintenance and renovations. I was hoping someone could guide us as to how we could get this information.

Also if anyone is interested in this technology we would be glad to present it to a wider audience and gather some feedback.  I am not looking to sell anything here, we are just trying to determine if there is a market for this technology, or if it is a solution searching for a problem.
