My company quality director wants to use bleach to clean our clean rooms and my question are, is bleach an effective method/safe to use in a cleanrom? Is it safe for eqiupment? and most importantly is it safe for the people conducting the cleaning?

    Sergio,

There are a variety of chemicals in the cleanroom industry that have been validated for an array of applications. Depending on the nature of your work in the cleanroom and what exactly it is you’re are trying to elminate with the cleaning will best determine the type of chemical needed. Because your question pertains to chlorine my guess it is that you are aiming to eliminate bioburden and microbials. If that is the case I’d reccomend a cycle of LpH and Spor Klenz. That’s what I use for my cleanroom and my business. If you have any further questions you can e-mail me at mbrucato@uniclean.com.

    Cheers,

    -Mike

What ratio of bleach to water do you use and do you have any justification for the ratio you use?
