Here are the basics for operators when performing the routine workstation wipe down.
Material:
a) Used only approved wipers
b) IPA or/and DI Water
Method:
a) Fold the wiper in quarters, each wipe has eight clean sections.
b) Dampen the wiper in IPA or DI water.
Note: do not over-saturate the wiper
c) Wipe in one direction only, slightly overlapping area on the following stroke to trap and remove out the particles.
Note: Do not use the wiper in a back and forth or circular wiping motion. This only transfer particles from one area to another and does not remove the particles
d) Start cleaning at the top and continue wiping toward the bottom. Wipe from far to near on the item being cleaned
e) Do not reuse any used wiper side again after 3x time wiping (note: varies based on requirement) or when a surface looks dirty apparently.
f) When all eight side of a wiper are used, dispose wiper properly..
g) Change glove when wipe down is completed or when the glove is visually dirty or damaged.
Frequency:
This is depend on the cleanroom cleanliness level and production requirement.
Example#1: Every 2-hourly or every 4-hourly
Example#2: Before break-time or End of Shift.
